Jamia Arifia
ACNA’s spiritual and intellectual home is Jamia Arifia, the foremost Sufi institution in the Indian Subcontinent. ACNA is the international branch of Jamia Arifia, an Islamic educational institution belonging to the Chishtiya-Nizamia order. It fills the gap between spirituality and intellectuality, orthodoxy and modernity, divine love and world affairs. The Jamia is a traditional madrasa with an extensive curriculum including Darse Nizami and awards Aalmiat and Fazeelat degrees. Founded by Daiye Islam Sheikh Abu Saeed Ehsanullah Safawi in 1993 it is one of the few affiliates of Al-Azhar University outside of Egypt. It runs under Khanqah-e-Arifia Welfare Society of Shah Safi Memorial Trust. It is located in the village of Saiyed Sarawan at Khanqah Arifia in Kaushambi, UP 23 km from Allahabad. Traditional Islamic subjects, in addition modern subjects like Science, Math, Hindi and English languages and literature are taught.
Jamia Arifia’s distinguished faculty, with several PhD’s serves as faculty for ACNA academic activities. Miyan Huzoor Abu Saeed Sain is our Patron- in Chief and spiritual guide. The entire faculty gives ACNA direction, is active on our social media channels and is the intellectual backbone of ACNA.
Our Imam Molana Ali Saeed and Imam Designate, Mufti Imamuddin Saeedi are both Aalim Fazil’s from Jamia Arifia.
