About Scholar

Allama Ziyaur Rahman Alimi (Born on 1982) is a distinguished research scholar from Darbhanga, Bihar, in Islamic Studies, specializing in Qur’anic sciences, particularly ʿIlm al-Iʿjāz al-Qurʾān and Qirāʾāt al-ʿAshr. He is proficient in Urdu, Arabic, English, Persian, and Hindi, with strong academic writing and oratory skills. His scholarly pursuits focus on the critical editing and translation of classical Sufi manuscripts and research on Sufism with contemporary relevance. He has edited and translated seminal Persian works, including Majmaʿ al-Sulūk by Shaikh Saʿad Khairabadi (d. 922 A.H.) and Khazānat al-Fawāʾid al-Jalāliyya by Shaikh Jalaluddin Husain bin Ahmed Bukhari (d. 785 A.H.). He earned his M.A. in Arabic from Aligarh Muslim University and completed his M.Phil at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where his dissertation focused on an analytical study of Hazrat Ameer Khusro’s Arabic poetry.
A graduate of Darul Uloom Alimia Jamda Shahi, Basti, U.P., he currently serves as a senior teacher at Jamia Arifia and as a core member of Shah Safi Academy, Kaushambi. His research writings appear in reputed Indian Urdu and Arabic journals, and he is co-author of the Al-Ehsan annual journal.
