Press Release: Mahopac, New York
The Auliya Council of North America is pleased to announce the official publication of the 8th Edition of Quarterly Sufi Times (April–June 2026). This latest issue continues the magazine’s commitment to presenting serious, research-based, and reflective scholarship on Sufism, spirituality, ethics, and contemporary Islamic thought.
The new edition features a rich collection of articles in both Urdu and English, exploring foundational Sufi concepts such as spiritual purification, inner discipline, moral responsibility, remembrance, and the stages of the spiritual path. Several contributions engage with classical Sufi scholarship, the legacy of major saints and thinkers, and the intellectual development of Islamic spirituality, while also examining the relevance of these traditions in the modern world.
This issue also includes reflective pieces on spiritual gatherings, devotional practices, and the enduring role of Sufi institutions in nurturing ethical character, social harmony, and inner awareness. Through historical analysis and contemporary reflection, the articles highlight how Sufism continues to function as a living spiritual and moral framework rather than a purely historical tradition.
The English section presents thoughtful essays that place Islamic spirituality in dialogue with current global challenges. These writings emphasize the importance of ethical consciousness, inner transformation, and spiritual values in responding to moral, social, and humanitarian crises facing modern societies.
According to the editorial team, the 8th edition of Quarterly Sufi Times aims to inspire deep reflection, encourage responsible intellectual engagement, and promote values of compassion, justice, and spiritual awareness. The publication is intended for scholars, students, researchers, and readers interested in Sufism, Islamic spirituality, ethical thought, and interfaith understanding in a global context.
