He seeks his guidance from Imam Ali Darbar of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Gang e Shakar Sarkar, and Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. He is dedicated to understanding and implementing the message of the Auliya of the Indian Subcontinent, primarily oneness, love, equality and justice through various traditions particularly sam’aa. He is the founder of ACNA and calls the Chishtiya his home.

Mr. Jafri’s executive experience working in the fortune 50 companies prior to transitioning into Hospitality is exemplary. He successfully managed numerous clients, projects and assisted in defining, designing, and implementing business solutions from conception to strategy to delivering finished products. Corporations he has worked at included GE Capital where he served in Management, Perrier Group of America where he worked as the Director of Finance and Xerox, Inc. where he served as a Senior Manager in Credit Division. Employing strong leadership and team building skills, Mr. Jafri achieved results for over 15 years in financial management and business development, including Hospitality sector.

His social enterprise work began with HealthCare NGO’s, which provide access to affordable, quality healthcare to the urban poor in Pakistan, in collaboration with large corporate employers and insurance companies.  As a board member, he provides the leadership and facilitates key relationships with foundations and philanthropies. He actively pursues philanthropic engagement with USAID, The Rockefeller Foundation, The Gates Foundation, and The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) and many others.

Mr. Jafri is a Board Member of American Pakistani Foundation, Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs (OPEN), and Harriet Tubman Foundation. He is an active member and an Ambassador of AAHOA (Asian American Hotels Association).

Zulfi was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan.  In early teens, he came to Schenectady, New York as an exchange student (AFS Program). After completing High School, while living with American families as part of the exchange program. He earned his BA in Accounting from the University of Buffalo, along with playing college basketball and went on to complete his MBA in Finance.

She is a Senior Urdu language Lecturer at the Dept. of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University. She is a writer and a translator. She is deeply interested and steeped in Sufi literature and poetry and feels a strong attachment to the philosophy and spiritual yearnings of the Auliya. She has recently launched her epic translation of Ismat Chughtai’s “Aik Qatra Khoon.”
